According to the rumors, the three new models of the upcoming iPad for 2017 will be unveiled in spring this year. These two will launch with 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch displays, same as existing iPad Pros and will feature Apple's A10X and A9 processors respectively, details of which are yet to be announced.
While the smaller 9.7 inch one, has been obviously created to appeal towards lower ranged budgets.
The analyst notes that Samsung will be the "biggest winner" among "new-entrant" suppliers for chips in the lower-priced, 9.7-inch iPad.
"9to5Maccites KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Quo as saying: "The new models will come in 12.9", 10-10.5" and 9.7" versions. The low-end iPad with the 9.7in screen is likely to account for 50 to 60% of total shipments of the new iPad lineup.
Take note, however, that these are all unconfirmed reports as of now and an official announcement from Apple is yet to be had.
