By comparing other picks in ESPN's Tournament Challenge - a terrific proxy of how the general public is evaluating teams - with tournament projections, we can find the best value picks for each region.

Without using margin of victory as a determination, the NCAA has no idea how to compare teams from small and large conference, leading to some juicy match-ups that pure resume can't predict.
