Can the reviews for 'Iron Fist' possibly get any worse?

More damningly, the fight scenes - something vital to a show built around a martial arts whiz - are inferior to better-choreographed sequences in the earlier Netflix Marvel shows. Davos just woke up one morning and Danny was gone. "Maybe the show gets good after the first six hours, I should give it a chance"? On the night of her bachelorette party, she finds her fiancé (who's also her co-worker, also the boss's son) in an explicitly compromising position, and her outrage is not in the least diminished by the fact that she's lashing out at him with a sex toy. It's also been announced that both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are coming back for a Season 2, Daredevil is getting a Season 3, and The Punisher is also coming to Netflix sometime in the future. Of course that is what influenced the character in the comics, but on the contrary, in this live-action version, it is mush too tiring to keep pace with the series. "The characterization of Danny Rand may have remained true to its source material but our show incorporates and celebrates actors from all different backgrounds". Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho), who also stars in "Daredevil", continues to show that she has the power to take down a hero in front of her with one hand, but always chooses to observe before striking. Their relationship is an interesting one which sets them apart from the other Netflix villains.

They didn't share screen time, but Jones and Jessica Henwick (playing Colleen Wing) struck up a strong friendship when they starred in Game Of Thrones. Danny certainly seems to be on to her later; he resets her pinky finger from a failed Leopard Punch, but doesn't press her further on the details.

Personally, I think better writers than I have written more extensively about them, and I don't want to front-load these viewing notes with them (which isn't to say they won't come up).

This makes him an odd fit in "The Defenders".

Jones continued his plea to social media users, further tweeting, "Please don't make assumptions on our show before you have seen it".

Just like its comic, Marvel's Iron Fist has become a hot-topic because of its uncomfortable racial boundaries.

While Iron Fist's male opponents launch straight into battle, the Bride begins by flirting with him. (Think Shangri-La as run by mystical warriors.) It's understandable that this super-powered fish out of water might be a little lost when returning to modern NY.

Gammill - who also worked with Duffy on Fallen Angels and some Star Wars issues - is remarkably skilled with faces, though they actually get a little too detailed at times, and his grasp of action and pacing made him a flawless fit for Duffy's scripts. They're all plodding and empty, too little plot stretched out over too many episodes.

Marvel's Iron Fist Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix.

Ultimately, it goes back to the question I asked in the beginning: who in Trump's America needs the Iron Fist right now? Upon defeating Shou-Lao, Danny was branded with the dragon symbol and plunged his hand into the amulet holding the dragon's heart. So from the trailer, we know that Danny has "come back from the dead".
