Final Four teams begin preparations for semis in Arizona

South Carolina head coach Frank Martin reacts in the second half against Florida during the East Regional championship game of the NCAA men's college basketball tournament Sunday

Oregon's Charlie Noebel walks to the locker room after a practice session for their NCAA Final Four tournament college basketball semifinal game Thursday, March 30, 2017, in Glendale, Ariz.

A'ja Wilson, South Carolina: The two-time All-American has stepped up her game in the absence of Alaina Coates.

Is your NCAA tournament bracket busted? The Bulldogs have played in 19 straight NCAA tournaments, but this is their first Final Four. This year we have four talented squads that consist of the UNC Tar Heels, the Oregon Ducks, the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the University of South Carolina's Gamecocks.

Saturday's first National Semifinal features a pair of newcomers to the biggest stage in college basketball. They don't play the same style but they both are effective in holding down an opponent.

What to expect: UNC head coach Roy Williams is "scared to death" over Berry's health, per Yahoo Sports' Henry Bushnell, but nothing short of amputation will get in the point guard's way.

"(Double teaming Karnowski) turns Williams loose and he is an unbelievable offensive rebounding athlete", Martin said. Sure, their size might bother us, but our teams has been exposed to everything this year - size, athleticism, winning, losing, good, bad, suspensions.

Oregon. The Ducks may have lost a key player with Chris Boucher's ACL injury, but they're talented enough to be a player in the national championship race. Once they believe, then we can teach them the technique. Gonzaga is 36-1 on the season while contrasting that the Gamecocks went 26-10. In addition, SC is a Southeastern Conference program and Sindarius Thornwell is one of the league's top players, three good reasons to root for the Gamecocks. "No one knew anything about us and here we were going up against big schools and having success". They do a great job keeping you out of the rim and make you take pull-up jumpers.

The North Carolina players have walked the fine line this season between the natural inclination to dwell on the painful loss, and the impossible task of forgetting it.

Kotsar is 6-10, but gives up more than 50 pounds to Karnowski. Sindarius Thornwell is going to have to have the game of his life for SC to move on to the championship. Against West Virginia in the semifinals, he played super defense on the final possession, preventing the game-tying three-point. We feel different as a coaching staff. "He doesn't need to be on the practice court to understand what we're doing".

As for the other members of the SC delegation, Republican Rep. Mark Sanford declined to say whether he had any specific wagers on the game. I get it. I've coached them too.

Martin said his worldwide team would have no problem with a traditional champion visit to the White House despite US President Donald Trump's recent immigration crackdown. Because if you're not being honest with your players and you're not giving them passion, then there is no love. "And how you manage yourself day to day to day allows you to be prepared to succeed when the game starts".

Martin credits the team's attitude and individual play- er's personality for buying into his defensive system. I am fine now.

"Guarding good players off the dribble is something very hard to do", Notice said. "We were glad it occurred on Wednesday so I could get it over with".

The Gamecocks have reached at least the Sweet 16 each of the past four years and will be playing in the Final Four for the second time in three years beginning Friday, when USC faces Stanford.

"That is what you are always anxious about".

"All of our guys that come in, when you first get that first Frank holler-at, it's tough but you know it's coming", guard PJ Dozier said. "That's just what it is". It's likely you can get nearly all picks during the first weekend correct, but crumble afterwards due to one or two teams underperforming. I'm guessing that his in-game adjustments will keep Mississippi State off balance.
