Rudolph a childhood friend with UNC basketball hero

It's now come down to the last four teams. On April 1st and 3rd teams from the University of North Carolina University of South Carolina University of Oregon and Gonzaga University will face off in the semi-finals and finals of the basketball champions

The Oregon Ducks took care of business in the Midwest Region, cruising past their first three opponents before upsetting Kansas in the Elite 8.

Along those same lines, Brooks has been Oregon's best player for two years, but Tyler Dorsey is playing as well as anyone in the country right now. Every year, millions of people try to decide the winners of each bracket, and then the team that will win the championship. But it's unclear how much those injuries will affect his play, and that has the Tar Heels in the familiar position of dealing with injury drama surrounding their floor leader at the season's most critical time. Tip-off is slated for 7:49 pm. on CBS on Saturday.

Will North Carolina and OR light up the scoreboard when they meet up tonight in the Final Four at 8:49PM ET?

"If I, Roy Williams, could only pick one thing, I would always pick rebounding as the most significant factor in determining who wins the game", said North Carolina's coach in anticipation of Saturday's contest.

The Ducks boast a senior class that has been to the big dance in each of the last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight past year.

Bryce Harper homered in his first Spring Training at-bat, and that swat seems to have been a harbinger of things to come.

On the OR side, sophomore point guard Tyler Dorsey has upped his scoring average by over 10 points-up to an incredible 24 points per game-during the NCAA Tournament. The 6-4 sophomore has averaged 24.5 points per game in the NCAAs, a jump up from 11.6 in Pac-12 play. Nova won the game on a buzzer-beater 3-point bucket. And UNC lost in a regional final to Kansas. Kennedy Meeks had 17 rebounds against Kentucky last weekend and Jordan Bell will likely be the main Duck responsible for him. "I just feel like I have a different mindset of not only being happy to be in the Final Four, but actually coming to win it this time". If they do, it will be of monumental proportion.

The victor of the game will face the victor of Gonzaga and SC in Monday's national championship game.

"There's definitely some great teams with one-and-dones and stuff like that", Jackson said. Since then, the Zags have done as expected en route to their first Final Four.

Tournament ashes: Of all the teams in the NCAA field, OR is closest in style to Duke. They lost in the early phases of the tournament, which resulted in their elimination. The Blue Devils, another basketball blueblood with five national championships, were favored by 7.5 points.

Martin is the only coach who didn't have at least 30 victories this season. In eight previous appearances, USC hasn't survived past the Sweet 16. SC is led by fiery coach Frank Martin, in his fifth year with the school, and senior Sindarious Thornwell, the SEC Player of the year.

USC will rely on its rugged defense.

Final Four games have been played in large stadiums for decades, and players have been adjusting to the new shooting environment for just as long. The Tar Heels had already lost ballhandler Dexter Strickland in January when Kendall Marshall — a Cousy victor, too — suffered a broken wrist when he took a hard foul during a second-round win against Creighton.

Not only does that experience pay off in game situations, but it's a better fit for the philosophy that Williams wants to build his program around, where a player like Stilman White can become a player capable of giving the Tar Heels a few minutes in the NCAA tournament.
