The Bolivar Kiwanis Club and Countryside Assembly will host the annual community Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Fullerton Field soccer fields, 1700 E. Aldrich Road, Bolivar.
The Downtown Business Association puts on several community events annually including the Downtown Trick or Treat for Halloween and Christmas Stroll during the holiday season.
The event is open to children ages 9 and younger who are divided into four age groups for the race for plastic Easter eggs.
The 13th annual MainStreet of FremontEaster Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. sharp on Saturday at John C. Fremont City. "Be sure to bring your Easter baskets or a pail to gather the eggs".
Then last week, the unthinkable happened at their home, putting their long-standing tradition in jeopardy.
The annual Calvary Fellowship Easter Egg Hunt attracts about 1,500 people hunt for 14,000 eggs on the Conard High School football field. "Our Athens Area Youth Council has stuffed numerous eggs with all kinds of excellent prizes and are looking forward to hiding the Easter Eggs on Saturday morning".
"Unfortunately, due to the past years' unruly crowds, we will not be having the egg hunt this year", read the post.
The event begins at 1 p.m.
The WHOP'er Egg Hunt is set for 11 a.m. April 15 in Tie Breaker Park in Hopkinsville. Children from tots to age 12 can register to take part in one of the two hunts at hobokengrace.com.
All participants are asked to meet at Eighth Street and Park Avenue no later than 9:50 a.m. Vu said the egg hunt is special for Easter and that she, and a lot of worldwide students, don't have the experience of doing that in their home country.
Hanlon said the egg hunt is usually over quickly, but there's still hours of entertainment available after.
Children ages 0-12 are welcome to participate and are asked to bring their own basket. In addition, the Orange Lions make contributions to many community organizations; and for many years, the Lions have run a Community Grants Program for local groups who are seeking funds for a special reason.
