Will the NBA playoffs lead to Cavs-Warriors III in the finals?

Myles Turner's Indiana Pacers go into the season finale with their play-off spot on the line

The Warriors finish with a 67-15 record and, nearly more importantly, a comically impressive +12.1 net rating for the season. It probably is dumb to pick against the Celtics, but I'll go with the playoff tested Raptors to make it back here and try to get revenge for what happened previous year against the Cavaliers. They should be doubly on task after letting the Cleveland Cavaliers swipe their title away last spring. The first round starts on April 15th, with the first game putting the Indiana Pacers against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena in Ohio. In recent years, the Western Conference has been consistently better than the Eastern. They are just sounder and the better-coached team overall.

Leonard's rise to superstardom has been remarkable.

Lastly, there is Draymond Green holding down the defensive end and taking over playmaking duties. If the Jazz can clamp down defensively, they could have a very good shot of beating the Clippers. The Hawks play terrific team defense and won four of their last five to close out the regular season, but they've struggled at times on offense without an elite go-to scorer.

Curry is an interesting case. The top three teams have the three best records in the league. From 30 teams down to 16, the National Basketball Association playoffs are rife with storylines.

The Warriors are a 1 seed, and that bodes well for winning it all. "And that's to be expected when you play two days later".

The case could be made that Westbrook should be as high as No.3 on the list.

Mike D'Antoni has the potential to be the NBA Coach of the Year yet again with the offensive revolution he's led in his first season in Houston. An eighth seed - often a team which just underachieved or had injuries - squeaks through more often than a No. 7 seed. Should Los Angeles not win the series - and maybe at least one after it - count on more questions about whether it's time to break up the core of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. He missed 21 games in the regular season, but he was incredibly important to the team's success when healthy.

The Trail Blazers must have had a sip of Michael's secret stuff because they came out on a mission in game 3. Curry led the Warriors with an average of 25.3 points per game while Durant was right behind him with an average of 25.1 points per game. But for James to get there for a seventh consecutive year and for Cleveland to repeat as champions, the Cavs will have to fix a defense that sprung a leak and was among the worst in the league the final six weeks of the season. However, Westbrook will be super-motivated as well playing for a +6600 longshot.

Lue, who lives in a handsome home on Lake Erie in Bay Village, went there shortly after the Cavs' lost their season finale Wednesday evening to the Toronto Raptors to ramp up preparations.

While the Chicago Bulls barely squeaked into the playoffs, Butler was becoming one of the 10 best players in the world. A triple-double is notching 10 or more in three different statistical categories - typically points, rebounds and assists. John Wall and Bradley Beal are two really good players.

Game one takes place in Houston on Sunday. The Indiana Pacers are averaging 105.1 points on 46.5 percent shooting and allowing 105.3 points on 45.1 percent shooting.
