Kevin Feige remains tight-lipped about 'Avengers 4' title
Apr 26 2017 by Maggie Morrison
Talking to the press at the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 premiere, the actress accidentally revealed that the title of Avengers 4 will be called: Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.
"We're in the middle of it (Avengers: Infinity War)". In reality, the Russo brothers respect the release year of The Avengers 3: Infinity War, namely the year 2018, because if you remember, The Guardians of the Galaxy came out in 2014. The entire franchise is one big teaser for Thanos picking up the Infinity Gauntlet and bedazzling it with all his stolen gems.
"As you know from the comics, there are so many places to go and so many more characters, and there are a few characters hinted at in the [end] tag scenes of Vol. 2". Marvel released Infinity Gauntlet first in 1991 and followed it up with 1992's Infinity War. But really the whole focus of Marvel Studios is, counting Guardians 2, the next eight films that are gonna take up all of our time. But, it's what she says after that has got us thinking. Avengers: Infinity War has all of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, and even Doctor Strange, but considering there's a fourth Avengers movie set for 2019, the real question is what's coming next? Infinity War began shooting in January, and its follow-up is now scheduled to begin filming in August. We'll be getting Avengers: Infinity War next summer, of course. And we're still excited to see what they have in store for us!
Do you think this is the real "Avengers 4" title?
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", which begins its global rollout on Tuesday, sees roguish thief Peter Quill, green-skinned warrior Gamora, the muscle-bound Drax, mischievous Rocket Raccoon and baby tree-alien Groot split up after being pursued by a gold-skinned villain named Ayesha. There is a possibility that the Marvel Cinematic Universe film might have a name that could spoil the events in the previous movie, where Thanos is set to collect all Infinity Stones. Presumably, this is all just opening the door for a standalone Squirrel Girl film, and then the inevitable might of that hero's Great Lakes Avengers team, finally giving Milwaukee, Wisconsin the hometown crimefighters it deserves.
"Most of the movies that we've talked about publicly will be okay", Feige says.
